Chelsea legend Petr Cech made his debut for Elite League ice hockey team Belfast Giants in a massive 5-1 win over Glasgow Clan.

WHAT HAPPENED?
The former Blues goalkeeper was introduced by coach Adam Keefe with 4:43 to go on the clock when the game was already put to bed by the defending treble winners at a 5-1 scoreline. A packed 6000-strong crowd started chanting 'We Want Cech' and Keefe did not disappoint them as he allowed the Champions League winner to set foot on the rink amid loud cheers.

Cech is on loan at Belfast Giants from Oxford City Stars, a team which plies their trade in the National Ice Hockey League, a tier below the Elite League. He has had previous stints with Guildford Phoenixand Chelmsford Chieftains as a netminder – who plays a similar role to a goalkeeper in football.
